Helping women have a more positive experience towards menopause and beyond
The menopause can be a stressful time for women. Each of us will have a different experience. My aim is to help you find your own way through the menopause using hypnotherapy and other natural techniques and methods.
Hi there, my name is Judith Stafford and I run Clevedon Hypnosis. I am trained in Clinical Hypnotherapy and specialise in guiding women through the peri menopause, into the menopause and beyond to a fulfilling happy 3rd age. The menopause should be a positive time of life, full of exciting new possibilities. Unfortunately, for many women this is not always the case.
Every woman will experience this part of her life differently. Some will breeze through it with few symptoms whereas others will have a horrendous time with the side effects. Although fluctuating hormones are a natural part of getting older the process should not make your life more stressful. Hot flushes, sweats, sleepless nights, overwhelming emotions and crisis of confidence can affect both your work and home life and make things difficult.
The good news is that you don’t have to just grin and bear it or go on HRT – there are things you can do to relieve both the physical and emotional symptoms. To help you with this, I have created a 6-week course designed to provide support with issues such as:
- Identifying symptoms
- Managing hot flushes and night sweats
- Coping with stress and anxiety
- Preventing weight gain
- Combating fatigue and mood swings
- Counteracting a flagging libido
How it works
As every woman will experience the menopause differently. We start by exploring the changes that are going on in your body, then look at how this affects you personally. What symptoms are occurring and what, if anything, makes them better or worse. Then I will work out the best course of action that will work for you.
Treatment may include hypnotherapy, NLP and CBT techniques to help with the emotional side of things such as stress reduction and confidence boosting, as well as the physical effects. We will also look at any lifestyle changes including diet and exercise, that may help.
